One year of NEP 2020: 14 engineering colleges to teach in Indian languages
India Today
14 engineering colleges in the country are set to teach their courses in Indian languages under the National Education Policy.
In a major initiative to promote teaching-learning in the mother tongue, 14 engineering colleges of 8 states will begin imparting education in 5 Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Bangla. Another major move is that the Indian sign language, for the first time, has been accorded the status of language subject. These were among the announcements that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made on Thursday as he spoke on the National Education Policy (NEP) one year after it was readied.
Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
