One killed, several injured as concrete mixer truck rams multiple vehicles in Hyderabad’s Musheerabad

Tragic accident in Musheerabad involving a concrete mixer truck leaves one dead and multiple injured, police investigating.

A tragic accident in Musheerabad claimed the life of a goods carrier driver and left several others injured when a concrete mixer truck lost control and collided with multiple vehicles in the early hours of Monday (December 30, 2024).

The accident occurred between 2:50 a.m. and 3 a.m. at Musheerabad crossroads, said the Chilkalguda police. In the chain collision, the mixer rammed into an earth mover, a police patrol vehicle, an auto-rickshaw, a two-wheeler, and two goods carrier vehicles.

“Mohammed Yousuf, the driver of a concrete mixer, is suspected to have been sleep-deprived and rammed into the vehicles near the crossroads junction,” said the police.

The deceased, Abdullah, a man in his 30s and the driver of one of the goods carrier vehicles, was getting his tyre repaired at the time of the incident on the stretch. “He succumbed to his injuries on the spot,” added the police.

Several others trying to fix the punctured tyre sustained minor injuries in the accident, but no further fatalities have been reported. Chilkalguda police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
