The development comes on a day when newly elected BJP MLA and party's national vice president Mukul Roy made a comeback in the TMC. Shantanu Thakur, who is said to be a a key member of the influential Matua community, has been disgruntled for a long time, even before the assembly poll, over BJP's stance on the implementation of CAA in Bengal.
