As Omicron cases in Telangana reach nine, efforts are on to locate a Kenyan national suspected to be infected with the corona variant.
Telangana’s Director of Public Health, G Srinivasa Rao, announced on Friday that Telangana’s Omicron tally has increased to nine.
Three passengers from Kenya, one from Dubai, one Indian national from Abu Dhabi and the UK, one from Sudan and one from the Czech Republic have all tested positive for Omicron. They have all been isolated and are undergoing treatment. One positive passenger travelled back to West Bengal.

The arrest of 7 foreign nationals by the NIA has prompted experts to suggest that the incidents might be connected.
