
Ola Electric clock bookings worth Rs 1,100 crore in first two days of online purchase

The online purchase of the Ola electric scooters is now closed, and will re-open on November 1, 2021, just in time for Diwali.
After facing technical issues with the website on its initial day of opening the online purchase of flagship Ola electric scooters, the Indian company announced registering pre-bookings of more than Rs 1,100 crore on the first two days for the Ola S1 electric scooter and Ola S1 Pro electric scooter in India. On day 1, Ola Electric clocked around Rs 600 crore, while the second day of the online purchase registered bookings worth Rs 500 crore, with the highest registrations coming in for the top-spec Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. The Ola S1 electric scooter is priced at Rs 99,999 while the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter will be available at Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom, India).
The online purchase of both these electric scooters also marks the highest sales in a day by value for a single product in Indian e-commerce history. Although the online purchase is now closed, the company will re-open the purchase window on November 1, 2021, just in time for Diwali. The Ola electric scooter is offered with a smart vehicle control unit (VCU), an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and high-speed connectivity through 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The 7-inch touchscreen is offered with both the variants. Both electric scooters come with a reverse-park assist, hill-hold system and cruise control as an added convenience feature. Other electronics consist of proximity lock/unlock, remote boot lock/unlock, onboard navigation, geo-fencing, mobile phone call & message alerts, and an anti-theft alarm system.
