
Of 8k candidates, over 1k women clear their first NDA exam

As many as 1,002 women candidates cleared the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam conducted on November 14. Over 8,000 candidates had appeared for the exam.
More than 1,000 women candidates on Wednesday featured in the list of over 8,000 candidates who cleared the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam conducted on November 14. This was the first-ever NDA exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), in which women appeared, reported News 18.
As the next step, 1,002 women candidates will appear for the Service Selection Board test and medical tests. A total of 19 women will be shortlisted for next year’s NDA course to later join the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force as officers.
