Speaking at the Brahmastra pre-release event in Hyderabad, Karan Johar said that instead of dividing Indian cinema into Bollywood and Tollywood, one should refer to it as the Indian film industry. 'We're not in the woods anymore' added KJo.

Karan Johar and SS Rajamouli hosted a grand pre-release event for the upcoming film, Brahmastra, in Hyderabad. RRR star Jr NTR was the special chief guest at the event. While speaking at the event, KJo said that Indian cinema should be addressed as the Indian film industry and not Bollywood or Tollywood. 'We're not in the woods anymore' added KJo. He thanked Tarak for gracing the event as a special guest.

Speaking at the Brahmastra pre-release event in Hyderabad, Karan Johar said that instead of dividing Indian cinema into Bollywood and Tollywood, one should refer to it as the Indian film industry. KJo also thanked Jr NTR for being a part of the grand event as the chief guest. He said, "Thank you Jr NTR for honouring us with your presence and being our special-special chief guest. Your support means the world. We, in our own tiny way, are trying to reach every corner [of the country with our film]. Like SS Rajamouli sir said, this is Indian cinema. Let's not call it anything else. We keep giving it a wood...Bollywood, Tollywood. We are not in the woods anymore, we are out of them. We are proudly part of Indian cinema. Each and every film will be now from Indian cinema."

Praising Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Shiva in Brahmastra, Jr NTR said, "There is one actor I really connect with and that is Ranbir. Every film of his has really inspired me as an actor and my favourite is Rockstar."

He further spoke about how he is a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan's on-screen intensity. Big B plays the role of Guru in the Ayan Mukerji film. "I enjoy Amitabh Bachchan sir's intensity in every film of his. I was a big fan of his intensity, his voice, his eyes, his feet...the way he stood, the way he swung his left hand," said Jr NTR.

Brahmastra the Trilogy is a three-part film franchise and the beginning of India’s first original universe, The Astraverse. The story is set in modern-day India, against the premise of a secret society called the Brahmnsh; who generation after generation have protected many divine Astras (weapons) that were created in ancient India, and safe-guarded from the eyes of the world. The most powerful and the most deadly amongst these divine weapons, the Lord of all the Other Astras - named after the most powerful weapon of the Gods, the Brahmastra, is now waking up. And it threatens to completely destroy the universe we know today.

Brahmastra - Part One, is the story of Shiva, a young man and our protagonist, who is on the brink of epic love, with a girl named Isha. But their world is turned upside down because Shiva learns that he has a mysterious connection to the Brahmstra and a great power within him that he doesn’t understand just yet - the power of Fire. Experience Shiva’s adventures as he journeys into the world of Astras and, in turn, discovers his destiny as the divine hero of the universe.
