India Today
HMD is finally going to launch the Nokia flagship phone that people have been awaiting for more than two years.
Nokia’s flagship phone was about to become nearly extinct, after all those rumours that never came through. But there is a possibility HMD may not have given up on it. According to HMD Global’s product manager for China, the Nokia flagship is on its way to China on November 11, also celebrated as Singles’ Day, which is a big shopping festival in China. The confirmation is coming straight from the horse’s mouth this time, so maybe -- just maybe -- HMD may finally bring that high-stakes flagship fans have been waiting for. HMD has not had good luck with Nokia flagships. Its first flagship, the Nokia 9 PureView, arrived back in February 2019. A year later, speculation around the successor gained momentum. During the peak time, the rumours were very confident that 2020 was going to be when we would see the Nokia 9.1 PureView, the Nokia 9.2 PureView, or at least, the Nokia 9.3 PureView. But nothing happened. Even the rumours stopped coming after the initial craze. But this is HMD’s product manager, Zhang Yucheng, who is giving a certain timeline, and there is finally some hope.
