Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi reveals cervical cancer diagnosis

Nicole Polizzi, better known as "Snooki," revealed she has stage one cervical cancer on social media.
In a TikTok video posted Feb. 20, the "Jersey Shore" star, 38, said doctors detected adenocarcinoma early after a pap smear exam.
"Obviously not the news that I was hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early. Thank freaking God, and that's why I'm literally telling you guys to get your pap smears done," she said in the video she posted to help other women with similar journeys or health anxieties feel seen.
The mother of three said doctors removed a chunk of her cervix with the tumor, and the area around the tumor did not have cancer cells. She does not have to undergo chemotherapy, adding, "Nobody wants to do that."
Polizzi said she has an upcoming PET scan that will detect if the cancer spread anywhere in the body, including her lymph nodes and will likely receive a hysterectomy.
