Shakira's Middle East concerts postponed due to ongoing conflict
USA TODAY
Shakira was scheduled to perform in Qatar on April 1 and in Abu Dhabi on April 4.
Shakira’s scheduled April 1 concert in Doha, Qatar, appears to have been postponed, amid heightened tensions in the region linked to the Iran war.
The Colombian singer was set to perform a one‑night‑only show at Stadium 974 as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, according to a Feb. 7 press release from Visit Qatar.
The concert no longer appears on Shakira’s official tour website, and the ticketing page is currently showing an error message, though that could also be due to disruption of Amazon Web Services in the Bahrain region due to drone activity in the area, according to Reuters. Visit Qatar’s website now lists the date as "TBC," or to be confirmed.
Other concerts announced under Visit Qatar’s live‑events initiative — including performances by Hans Zimmer on April 10 and John Legend on April 17 — remain unchanged.
Shakira’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment from USA TODAY.
