CNN anchor announces farewell from early morning news program

Prominent CNN anchor Rahel Solomon announced that she's leaving the network's weekday early-morning news program.

She teased her upcoming farewell live on "Early Start with Rahel Solomon" on Monday, March 23.

"I have decided that this will be my last week at CNN. More to come on what's next for me," Solomon stated. "But I'm really excited about this next chapter. For now, a huge...thank you to the team here on 'Early Start.'"

"We have covered some major breaking news during our hours, and I am so proud to have worked alongside you," she stated. "To the larger team here at CNN, I'm going to be cheering you on. I look forward to watching. It has been such an honor."
