NIA files chargesheet against Indian operative of Pak ISI in espionage case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed an additional chargesheet on Friday against an Indian operative of Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) for allegedly raising funds for espionage activities in India.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed an additional chargesheet on Friday against an Indian operative of Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) for allegedly raising funds for espionage activities in India, an official said. The first supplementary chargesheet was filed against Imran Yakub Giteli, a resident of Godhra in Gujarat, under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) before the special NIA court in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, the official added. The case was registered in November 2019 under sections of the IPC, the UAPA and the Official Secrets Act in Vijayawada over a conspiracy hatched by ISI agents who were accompanied by their assoaicated based in India to carry out terrorist acts in the country.More Related News
