
NIA arrests Akal Takht Jathedar’s son in ‘tiffin bomb drop’ case

The NIA has arrested former Akal Takht Jathedar Jasbir Singh Rode's son after reportedly recovering a tiffin bomb, RDX and pistols from their residence in Jalandhar.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) on Friday reportedly recovered a tiffin bomb, RDX and pistols from the residence of former Akal Takht Jathedar Jasbir Singh Rode, the brother of Khalistani separatist Lakhbir Singh Rode, sources said. The NIA conducted a raid at Rode’s home in Jalandhar after receiving intelligence while investigating the ‘tiffin bomb drop’ case, in which a tiffin box fitted with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was dropped using a drone in Punjab's Amritsar on August 8.More Related News
