
NHPC signs e-mobility agreement with CESL to lease 25 EVs

NHPC will have the largest EV fleet among the central public sector enterprises in India following the addition of 25 new units.
State-run hydropower company NHPC today signed an e-mobility agreement with Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL), a subsidiary of state-owned Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL), for leasing 25 electric vehicles (EVs). Under the agreement, which was signed via video conferencing, CESL will also supply three EV fast chargers to NHPC and install them. In 2019, NHPC had leased two EVs from EESL. According to an official statement, NHPC will have the largest EV fleet among the central public sector enterprises in India following the addition of 25 new units.
