Newlyweds Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar to host wedding reception later in February: Report

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar got married on February 19. According to reports, they will be hosting their wedding reception later in February.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar finally got hitched on February 19 after dating for almost four years. The couple first met on a reality show where Shibani was a contestant while Farhan was the host. They walked down the aisle on Saturday with special vows at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala farmhouse. If reports are to be believed, Farhan and Shibani will host their wedding reception later in February.

According to reports, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar will be hosting a grand reception in Mumbai later this month. This will take place after they have registered their marriage in court. Due to the Covid-19 protocols, their wedding was a private affair with only close friends and family in attendance.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s wedding took place with only few close friends and family members. The couple exchanged vows, instead of a traditional Marathi wedding ceremony or a nikah. The couple zeroed in on this decision, keeping each other's religious backgrounds and beliefs in mind. Their wedding guest list included Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapoor, Samir Kochar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidwani, Rhea Chakraborty and Hrithik Roshan.
