New Range Rover Sport price starts from Rs 1.64 crore, bookings open
India Today
Land Rover has opened bookings for the New Range Rover Sport in India. For now, prices of only the diesel variant have been announced.
The all-new Range Rover Sport made its global debut on May 12 and now, Land Rover India has commenced bookings for the third-generation model. New Range Rover Sport price in India starts from Rs 1.64 crore (ex-showroom) for the base 3.0-litre Diesel Dynamic SE trim.
Currently, the Range Rover Sport is listed only with a 3.0-litre diesel engine on Land Rover India's website. This engine produces 351bhp of max power and 700Nm of peak torque. An automatic transmission and AWD are standard. It can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 5.9s and can hit a top speed of 234kmph.
Land Rover is offering the new Range Rover 3.0-litre diesel in four trims - Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography and First Edition. These are priced as follows -
Developed alongside the full-size Range Rover that was revealed last year, the two models sport a similar design language, but Land Rover has done enough to maintain a clear differentiation between the two visually. The slimmest digital LEDs have been fitted to the front, while the rear has surface LED taillamps, very different from the vertically stacked units seen on the Range Rover. The cabin layout is more driver-centric than the luxury-oriented Range Rover. There is a 13.1-inch display with Pivi Pro software and a 13.7-inch driver display.
While the 3.0-litre diesel engine is the sole option, for now, expect Land Rover to add more variants, including ones with a 3.0-litre in-line six turbocharged petrol and perhaps even the BMW sourced V8.
