After nine days, there was a brief sense of relief when the 45-year-old officer was taken off the ventilator on Wednesday. According to the doctors, his condition and vitals had improved. However, on Thursday morning, he was put on a ventilator again because his oxygen saturation level dropped to 94. He has no comorbidities. "The only problem is his hand which took the bullets during the encounter," his family said.
