NDA protests in Tamil Nadu condemn DMK for worsening law and order, citing rising violence and drug issues.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Srinivasan condemned the DMK government. He said there was an alarming rise in murder and sexual assault cases in the State. The root cause for this was ganja and other drugs which were easily made available, he said.
The youth and even school children were becoming addicted to narcotic substances, he said adding, that the main objective of the protest was to condemn the State government for its failure to curb the menace which was affecting society.
Referring to the recent Thoothukudi murder case of a Class XII girl student, he said when the DMK leaders visited the family, some of the local residents had shouted slogans against them. This showed that the people were upset with the DMK regime, he said. He said the NDA will win the upcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
In Theni district, the protests were led by the leaders of the NDA. They condemned the DMK government for its failure to prevent rising incidents of sexual violence, deteriorating law and order situation and drug menace in the State. They raised slogans against the DMK regime.
