
National Teachers Awards to be conferred by Droupadi Murmu on Teacher's Day 2022

To mark Teachers Day, President Droupadi Murmu will honour selected teachers with the National Teachers Awards in a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
Teachers Day 2022: To celebrate this day, the newly appointed President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will confer National Awards to selected teachers chosen from different parts of the country. This award ceremony will take place today, September 5, 2022, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. For their outstanding contributions to the sector, 46 teachers will be honoured this time.
The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi is also expected to interact with the National Teachers Award winners at his residence after the award ceremony is completed by President Murmu, as per reports. All award winners come from different schools around the country and have made notable contributions.
As per the official tweet by the Ministry of Education, every winner of the National Teachers Award(s) will receive a silver medal, a certificate of merit, and a cash reward of Rs. 50,000. A complete list of teachers was prepared beforehand, and it was also made public.

The idea behind this ceremony is to celebrate and honour the unique contributions of some of the teachers in this country. This ceremony was also organised last year in 2021.
