Mumbai cop accuses man of raping her on pretext of marriage, files FIR

A woman, working as an assistant police inspector in Mumbai Police, has filed an FIR against three people accusing them of raping and blackmailing her.

An assistant police inspector has filed FIR against three people accusing them of raping and blackmailing her. All the accused are yet to be arrested. The woman in her complaint has said that while one accused raped her on the pretext of marriage, the other two accused blackmailed her using her pictures. "A woman police officer has filed case of rape and blackmail at Meghwadi police station in Mumbai. However, as the jurisdiction of crime [rape] was in Powai area, a zero FIR was filed at Meghwadi and transferred to Powai police station," an official said.
