The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) diagnostic laboratory has got the national accreditation for various RT-PCR tests it conducts. The BMC Lab, which is situated within the Kasturba Hospital compound in Chinchpokli, was the first lab in the city to test for Covid-19, last year.
This accreditation has been given by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) and it will be a recognition of quality and standards observed during diagnostics testing.
