Mumbai: 7-year-old lured with chocolate, raped by tempo driver in Ghatkopar

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a tempo driver who lured her with a chocolate in Mumbai's eastern suburb of Ghatkopar.
A 35-year-old tempo driver was arrested for allegedly abducting and raping a seven-year-old girl in Mumbai's eastern suburb of Ghatkopar.
The accused, Sachin Sharma, was arrested by the Mumbai Police within 24 hours of the incident late on Wednesday night.
The incident took place on Tuesday when the accused found the child alone in a locality and lured her with a bar of chocolate.

He took the girl to an isolated spot, where he allegedly raped her and then fled the spot. A passerby saw the girl weeping and alerted the police, according to news agency PTI.
The girl narrated the incident after counselling. Special teams were formed to nab the accused.
Police examined the CCTV footage from the locality and detained the accused.
