MSD Unplugged: Dhoni is a Man Utd fan with a personal 'Shisha Man', says Sam Billings

IPL 2026: Sam Billings lifts the lid on MS Dhoni's off-duty habits, revealing his love for Manchester United and his personal shisha man during CSK's IPL campaigns.
There is a side to MS Dhoni that rarely makes headlines. Former England wicketkeeper Sam Billings offered a peek behind the curtain this week, painting a picture of the CSK veteran off duty.
"He is a Manchester United fan. We watched every United game because you can't leave the hotel and go downstairs to the hotel bar. He leaves his hotel room open. He has a little shisha man who looks after the shisha," Billings said.

It is a familiar scene to those who have shared a dressing room with Dhoni. Former Australia batting coach Michael Hussey echoed the same sentiment on The Overlap earlier.
"His room is available, open 24 hours a day. Anyone can go up there and just sit. Players just sit around, they start talking cricket, some of them like the shisha. That is their way of socialising," Hussey recalled.
For someone who has been in the public eye for two decades, Dhoni's way of unwinding is straightforward enough. An open door, a United match and good company.
