The Chennai Super Kings' players had big smiles on their faces as they gorged onto some delicacies on the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.
MS Dhoni and his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammates enjoyed their hearts out on the festival of Eid on Tuesday, May 3. The official moon-sighting committee of Telangana, on Monday, May 2, said that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Tuesday, since the crescent of Shawwal, which is the 10th month of the Islamic calendar, wasn’t sighted in Hyderabad and in other parts of the country.
As far as the Super Kings are concerned, a number of their players, including Dhoni, Robin Uthappa, Shivam Dube, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali and many others took part in the celebrations. The players had big smiles on their faces as they gorged onto some delicacies.
The family members of the Super Kings’ cricketers also graced their presence and enjoyed themselves in the celebrations. The mood in the CSK camp looked pretty upbeat despite their struggle in the 2022 edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Super Kings have found themselves in a muddle going into the business end of the ongoing IPL. After starting the tournament with four losses on the trot, the Super Kings have found a bit of momentum, but are still languishing in the bottom half of the points table.
However, the Yellow Army will be high on confidence after defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday, May 1 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. CSK will next be up against Faf du Plessis' Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Wednesday at the same venue.
