India Today
The T20 World Cup Super 8s are here. Eight teams remain in the hunt for four knockout spots. From India's dominance to Zimbabwe's fairytale, here's your complete guide.
The group stages are done and dusted, and the T20 World Cup has delivered everything we hoped for and more. Upsets, tight finishes, and stunning individual performances have set the tone for what promises to be an enthralling Super 8s stage.
Eight teams have emerged from the pack, each with its own strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. India remains unbeaten and looks ominous despite not hitting top gear. The West Indies and South Africa have shown their class, whilst Pakistan have bounced back from last year's heartbreak. Sri Lanka are dangerous on home soil, New Zealand continue to punch above their weight, England are searching for form, and Zimbabwe have gate-crashed the party.
As the tournament moves into its next phase, the stakes are higher, the margins finer, and the path to glory clearer. Here's how each of the eight teams stacks up heading into the Super 8s.
The surprise package. Sikandar Raza's side have turned heads in the group stages, beating both Australia and Oman to book their Super 8s berth. They've got talent. Raza himself and pace spearhead Blessing Muzarabani are amongst them.
However, their batting remains largely untested, and they benefitted from a washout against Ireland. They lack big-match experience, but what they do have is momentum and belief.
Don't expect Zimbabwe to roll over. They'll put their best foot forward and see just how far they can go.

T20 World Cup: Zimbabwe missed out on qualifying for the tournament in 2024, but this time around, Sikandar Raza's men have secured their berth in the Super 8. It was Raza, with his inspirational leadership and attitude, aims to keep his side grounded and continue their journey towards bigger goals at the T20 World Cup 2026.
