
MP students to go on annual trips to Andaman to learn about freedom struggle

MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Friday that a group of students would be sent to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands every year to learn more about India's freedom struggle.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Friday that a group of students would be sent to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands every year to learn more about India’s freedom struggle. He said the trip would allow students to learn more about the hardships and sacrifices of the revolutionaries. Chouhan said the annual trip would inculcate feelings of patriotism and dedication in children. "A group of selected students will be sent every year to Andaman and Nicobar for this purpose," he said, as per PTI. The CM was speaking at the event held at Shaurya Smarak in connection with the union government’s initiative to mark 75 years of India's Independence, 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav'. The event had been launched by PM Narendra Modi coinciding with the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's Dandi March of 1930.More Related News
