Motorola Razr 3 live images leaked, design and specifications revealed ahead of July launch

Motorola Razr 3 live images leaked, design and specifications revealed ahead of July launch

Motorola is rumoured to launch the Raz3 in China by the end of July or early August.

Moto Razr 3 live images have leaked. A new report by 91Mobiles and tipster Evan Blass has leaked the design and key specifications of the Moto Razr 3. The report also reveals the launch timeline of the upcoming Motorola foldable smartphone.

The leaked images reveal that the Moto Razr 3 will feature a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the screen. Blass further claims that Motorola will say goodbye to the thick chin that housed the fingerprint scanner on previous-generation models. The new Moto Razr 3 will come with a thinner chin and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The device has been codenamed Maven and is being tested in two different SKUs. The first features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and the other SKU has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC. However, due to delays in the Gen 1+ SoC, it is unknown if Motorola will go ahead with the next-generation chipset. The Razr 3 will launch in multiple storage options. It will have 8GB/ 12GB of RAM along with 256GB and 512GB of internal storage.

On the outside, there will be a dual-camera setup. The 50MP and 13MP camera sensors are placed inside a pill-shaped module. There is also an LED flash module placed alongside the camera sensors.

Blass did not reveal any details about the display size. However, we do know that the foldable screen will feature a Full HD+ display and feature a 32MP front camera sensor. It will launch in two colours - Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue.

If the leaked Moto Razr 3 specifications are true, then the device is set to get a major upgrade. Previous generation Motorola foldable phones have featured Snapdragon 700-series chipsets. While the SoCs were powerful enough, the launch price did not justify the hardware, especially when Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip with better specs at a lower price.

Motorola’s upcoming Razr 3 will launch first in China, according to Blass. The company plans to debut its foldable phone first in China by late July or early August. It will also launch in global markets later this year.
