
More than a billion Bluetooth devices affected by BrakTooth flaw

A new research has highlighted a major flaw in Bluetooth that affects processors and devices from leading brands. These vulnerabilities have been found to let threat actors carry out remote commands on the targeted device.
Bluetooth on both Android smartphones and Windows 10 devices has been found to be a weak link in a new set of vulnerabilities. The flaw has been found to be persistent in several microprocessors which are used by some of the top technology brands in the world. Researchers estimate that the vulnerability affects more than one billion devices that use Bluetooth. The information comes to light in the form of a new research paper by researchers from Singapore University. The research mentions a total of 16 vulnerabilities affecting Bluetooth which we all use. These vulnerabilities have collectively been named "BrakTooth."
Meta has hired the team behind the agentic AI startup Dreamer.
