Monsoon Updates LIVE: Fairly widespread rainfall in Bihar, UP and Uttarakhand over next 3 days

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), parts of Bihar, UP and Uttarakhand are expected to receive fairly widespread rainfall with isolated bouts of heavy rain between August 20 to August 23.

Heavy showers are expected in parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh over the next 24 hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Uttarakhand, in particular, could witness heavy to very heavy rainfall on Friday. In addition to this, Bihar, UP and Uttarakhand are also expected to receive fairly widespread rainfall with isolated bouts of heavy rain between August 20 to August 23. Isolated heavy to very heavy falls are predicted in parts of West Bengal and Sikkim today, the IMD added in its daily weather bulletin. As the intensity of rainfall is expected to decrease in Northeast India from today onwards, fairly widespread showers will continue in the region and the areas surrounding it.
