Mohan Babu on board for Samantha Akkineni's Shaakuntalam?

Reports suggest that veteran actor Mohan Babu has been roped in to play an important role in Samantha's Shaakuntalam. The film is directed by Gunasekhar.

Mohan Babu is likely to play a key role in Samantha Akkineni's much-anticipated film, Shaakuntalam. Earlier this year, Samantha announced that she has signed a mythology film titled Shaakuntalam with director Gunasekar. Along with the film's announcement, she took to social media to share the pre-teaser of Shakuntalam and it received good response from fans. According to the latest reports, actor Mohan Babu will also be a part of the project. We hear that the veteran actor will be seen playing the role of Durvasa Maharishi in Shaakuntalam. However, an official announcement will be made only by the end of this month. Recently, Samantha took to her Instagram story to give us a glimpse of Shakuntalam sets. Samantha was seen sporting white outfit and matching earrings. Directed by Gunasekhar, Shakuntalam is based on Kalidasa's epic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. An announcement on the cast and crew will be out in the coming weeks.
