A young man drowned in the swimming pool of a private resort in Kanakumbi, near Khanapur in Belagavi district of Karnataka, on December 29.
Mahantesh Gunjikar (26), a resident of Khasabag in Belagavi, had gone to the resort along with around 20 colleagues. They are employees of a multi-national consumer products company.
They reached the resort on December 28. Mr Gunjikar drowned on December 29. His body was handed over to his family after post-mortem.
A case has been registered at Khanapur police station.
