Miscreants desecrated the Periyar statue in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore district on Sunday.
A statue of social reformer Periyar EV Ramasamy in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore was found desecrated on Sunday morning.
The statue in front of the Periyar study centre in Vellalore was found garlanded with a pair of slippers. The head was splashed with a saffron-coloured powder.
