The construction of the military school is targeted to be completed this year, whereas talks with the Ministry of Defence about adopting the school are already ongoing.
Hostels and other required facilities will be established on 100 acres of land and the Ministry of Defence is likely to convert the school into a military school.
In terms of other projects to honour Sangolli Rayana, work on developing his tomb at the spot where he attained martyrdom is also going to be taken up.
Further, the development of a rock garden on 10 acres of land at his birthplace Sangolli has also been approved.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai went on to say that these memorials are being built to provide a glimpse into the life of Rayanna for the youth.
