IPL 2022, MI vs CSK: Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a second-ball duck by Mukesh Choudhary in the first over of the Mumbai Indians innings. In the same over, Mukesh Choudhary also removed Ishan Kishan for a duck.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a duck off the second ball of the innings after Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bowl. Mukesh Choudhary, who had dismissed Virat Kohli during their win over RCB, struck in his first over to dismiss Rohit Sharma at the DY Patil Stadium on Thursday.

Rohit Sharma has had a nightmarish season in IPL 2022. In 7 matches so far, Rohit has managed only 114 runs. In their first match of the year, Rohit had scored 41 against Delhi Capitals before a string of failures. In the subsequent matches, Rohit scored 10, 3, 26, 28, and 6 before his second-ball duck against Chennai Super Kings.

Ishan Kishan was the most expensive buy of the 2022 player auction. He was not named among MI's retained players but the five-time champions bought him back for a staggering Rs 15.25 crore.

Ishan Kishan started off well with back-to-back half-centuries. He hit an unbeaten 81 against DC and then followed that up with a 54 against Rajasthan Royals. However, Kishan has since made scores of 14, 26, 3 and 13. In 7 matches so far in IPL 2022, Ishan Kishan has scored only 191 runs, 135 of which came in the first two matches.
