Madras High Court has adjourned PIL against cancelling Class 12 exams in Tamil Nadu.
Madras High Court on Wednesday adjourned a public interest litigation case filed against Tamil Nadu Government's decision to cancel Class 12 exams this year. The case which is being heard by Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy had Petitioner's counsel absent for the hearing. The state government had cancelled the Class 12 board exam due to the Covid-19 threat. The petitioner though demanded that the public exams can be conducted in a month or two when the intensity of the second wave goes down. The petitioner sighted a list of reasons for demanding that the exams be conducted. One the petitioner said that the present batch of Class 12 students were those who had not appeared for exams for Class 11 as well because of Covid-19. It would be inappropriate to pass higher secondary classes without appearing for final year examinations.More Related News
