Indian Mathematician Neena Gupta has been awarded the 2021 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians from developing countries for her outstanding work in affine algebraic geometry and commutative algebra.
Kolkata-based researcher Neena Gupta won the prestigious Ramanujan Prize for young mathematicians this year. She has become only the fourth Indian to win the coveted award in the field of academics. A professor at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, she has been recognised for her outstanding work in affine algebraic geometry and commutative algebra.
Elated by the recognition, Gupta shared her happiness with India Today.
