Manipur government has announced summer vacation for schools from May 1 to May 31 due to rising Covid-19 cases.
Amid rising Covid-19 cases, the Manipur government has announced summer vacations for schools from May 1 to May 31, 2021. The government has taken the decision keeping in mind the safety of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff amid the Covid-19 surge. The decision is valid for all the government and private schools that come under the state education board. The School Education commissioner of Manipur, T Ranjit Singh issued an official notification in this regard on April 26. The official order also stated to ensure necessary arrangements for the commencement of online classes till summer vacation starts. As per reports, the state government has directed all heads of institutions to make an arrangement for staff by making an appropriate daily roster. They also need to ensure their attendance in the institutions.
