The mandir-masjid row has reached Telangana, with the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief, Bandi Sanjay, alleging that several temples in the state were demolished and mosques were built over them. He also vowed that the BJP would rid the state of evil powers and establish “Ram Rajya.”

Addressing the Hindu Ekta Yatra in Telangana’s Karimnagar on Wednesday, May 25, Bandi Sanjay said, “Several temples were demolished and mosques were built over them by Muslim rulers in Telangana.”

“If these mosques are dug up now, there is a possibility of unearthing Shiva Lingams,” said Bandi Sanjay said on Wednesday.

He further added, “I hereby throw a challenge to All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi. Let us dig up all the mosques in Telangana. If skeletons are found, we shall leave the mosques to them. But if Shiv Lingams are found, we will take over them. Is he ready?” Sanjay asked while addressing the massive Hindu Ekta Yatra gathering.

He further vowed that the BJP would rid the state of evil forces and establish "Ram Rajya".

He also announced, “If the BJP comes to power, we shall abolish all the Madrasas, do away with the reservations being given to minorities and provide additional quota for SCs, STs, OBCs and EBCs. We shall also permanently remove Urdu as the second official language.”

The BJP president also vowed to fight against pseudo-secular forces in the state. “You have seen The Kashmir Files. You are going to see the Razakar Files. We shall teach a lesson to forces that are joining hands with communal elements who worship Aurangzeb for the sake of 15% of Muslim votes,” he said.
