Man transporting cattle killed by mob in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district; 9 arrested

A mob attacked two men when they were transporting bovines in Chittorgarh. While one succumbed to his injuries, other was injured in the attack. Police have registered a case and arrested nine people so far.
A man was lynched and another injured by a group of people who attacked them on suspicion of smuggling cattle in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh district. The deceased, identified as Babu, and Pintu were transporting bovines when they were attacked by a mob in Chittorgarh, police said. Nine people have been arrested and 19 have been named in the case, police added. The incident took place near Bhilkhanda on the intervening night of June 13-14. Police said the two were taking three oxen to their village in Madhya Pradesh from Begun town of Chittorgarh for agriculture work when a group of people hit them with sticks accusing them of smuggling cows.More Related News
