Major box office collection Day 2: Adivi Sesh's film picks up pace

Adivi Sesh's Major witnessed a slow start on Day 1. The June 3 release is expected to pick better over the weekend.

Adivi Sesh’s Major is yet another June 3 release. The film clashed with Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj at the box office. On Day 1, the film minted Rs 96 lakh in the Hindi belt. Early predictions have it that Major will pick pace over the weekend.

Adivi Sesh’s Major released on June 3 and opened to a slow start. However, the film witnessed a great jump in the Hindi belt on Day 2. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, "#Major sees a huge 50% jump in Hindi circuits today (Day 2), compared to yesterday (Day 1).. Good content always prevails.. @AdiviSesh (sic)." The actual box office score of Major Day is still awaited.

At the USA box office, Major raked in about Rs 1.5 crore on Day 1. This is more than Akshay Kumar-starrer Samrat Prithviraj.

Adivi Sesh's Major box office scored lesser than the films it clashed with. However, it minted a total amount of Rs 96 lakh on its first day in the Hindi belt. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Major is below the mark on Day 1... Riding on tremendous critical acclaim and glowing word of mouth, the numbers need to multiply over the weekend for a healthy weekend total...
