Mahindra & Mahindra has reported a rise of 82.5 per cent in overall auto sales to 17,447 units in May 2021. The total sales of the automaker stood at 9,560 units in the year-ago month. The manufacturing operations of Mahindra & Mahindra in May 2021 were severely affected by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact of the first wave in May 2020 was even worse. The automaker's domestic PV (passenger vehicle) sales increased 106.98 per cent to 8,004 units in May 2021 from 3,867 units in the same month last year.
