Mahesh Babu's SSMB 28 Update: Roshan Mathew to play a key role?

The movie has created a fair deal of buzz among Super Star's die-hard fans as it features him in a new avatar. Now, here is an update about the biggie. Malayalam actor Roshan Mathew has reportedly joined SSMB 28's cast. The Darlings star is likely to essay a key role in the flick. There's, however, no official confirmation regarding the same. SSMB 28 is an actioner, directed by Trivikram Srinivas.

Roshan Mathew, who recently garnered attention with his work in the Alia Bhatt-led Darlings, may be on the verge of sighing a big Telugu movie. He is said to be in talks to essay a key role in Mahesh Babu's SSMB 28. The film marks Prince's third collaboration with Trivikram Srinivas after Athadu and Khaleja.

SSMB 28 is an actioner that features Mahesh Babu in an intense new avatar. Going by what we saw in Athadu and Khaleja, this is likely to be a treat for the mass audience. SSMB 28 stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead and marks her second collaboration with Mahesh after Maharshi (2019). It is expected to go on floors on September 8. SSMB 28 is said to feature an action-packed second half. The pre-interval portions, on the other hand, are likely to feature romantic sequences. SSMB 28 will be released in theatres on April 28, 2023.

Roshan Mathew, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front. He was last seen in the recently-released Cobra, starring Chiyaan Vikram. He is awaiting the release of Prithviraj's Gold, slated to hit the screens on September 8. He also has Nani's Dasara in his kitty.

Mahesh Babu, on the other hand, will be turning his attention to his film with SS Rajamouli after wrapping up SSMB 28.
