The Maharashtra government has issued a government resolution (GR) ordering a one-time reduction of private school fees by 15%.
The Maharashtra government on Thursday issued a government resolution (GR) ordering the school fees in the state for the academic session 2021-22 to be reduced by 15%. This is a one-time suggestion to ease the financial burden of parents during Covid-19. GR is not a mandatory order, however. Schools will need to adjust the full fees paid by parents against the school fees of the next month, quarter or academic year, or refund the same. Dispute scan be directed to the divisional fee regulatory or the divisional grievance redressal committees whose decision will be final.
