A Maharashtra boy studying at Siddaganga Engineering College in Karnataka’s Tumakuru town was found hanging in his room on Monday night.
A third-year student studying at Siddaganga Engineering College in Karnataka’s Tumakuru town was found hanging in his room on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Soahmnath Belorkar, a resident of Yavatmal in Maharashtra. He was enrolled in the Computer Science course at the college.
Police are yet to determine the reason behind Belorkar's death. They said they found a lot of medicines on a table in his room.
Further investigation is underway.

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
