Lucknow: PGI hospital guard complains of chest pain, dies after being denied treatment

A security guard of PGI Lucknow who complained of chest pain died after being denied treatment by the doctors.

A 42-year-old security guard who complained of chest pain was denied treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow. The victim, identified as Mithilesh, a resident of Para district, died due to alleged medical negligence and apathy.

What is even more shocking is that homeguard Mithilesh was deployed outside the PGI hospital to safeguard the doctors. A report published in AajTak revealed that the doctors not only denied medical treatment to the ailing guard but also sent him to another hospital, located 15 kilometers away. The victim died while undergoing treatment.
