A close aide of famous gangster, Mukhtar Ansari, was forced to raze his own building fearing bulldozer action in Lucknow. The builder illegally constructed a building in 2014 on a portion of land owned by Lucknow Development Authority.
The terror of 'Baba ka Bulldozers' to raze the illegal properties of criminals in Uttar Pradesh has instilled fear among people. The administration has been cracking down on illegal properties, taking advantage of bulldozers to tighten the noose around law-breakers and absconders.
A close aide of jailed mafia don and MLA Mukhtar Ansari was forced to raze his own building in Lucknow, fearing bulldozer action. The builder, Alam Siddique, a resident of Lal Bagh in Ghazipur, allegedly constructed an illegal building in 2014 on a portion of land owned by Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) in collusion with the then officials.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sought details of properties of Mukhtar Ansari following which the matter came to light. After knowing about the illegal construction, the LDA had warned of strict action against the illegal property multiple times but Siddique did not pay heed.
When Ansari's aide failed to take concrete steps despite the authorities slapping him with a notice, the LDA officials attempted to take the assistance of bulldozers to demolish the building.
The authorities were ready to raze the illegal building, which was illegally constructed eight years back under the regime of the Samajwadi government. But Siddique pleaded in front of the officers and, fearing bulldozer action, he decided to raze the building himself.
Recently, a man accused of raping a minor girl surrendered to the police in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur under Kishanpur station limits due to fear of bulldozer action in Fatehpur.
