Love Hostel actor Vikrant Massey tells why Shah Rukh Khan is one and only

Backed by Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey’s Love Hostel will premiere on Zee5 on February 25. In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Vikrant talked about the crime thriller, SRK’s brilliance, and more.

Vikrant Massey, who is gearing up for the release of his new crime thriller Love Hostel opposite Sanya Malhotra, opened up about his collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan and Red Chillies Entertainment, the reason for doing this film, and more.

After delivering power-packed performances in films like Haseen Dillruba and Chhappak, Vikrant Massey is all set to entertain the audience with yet another intriguing story, Love Hostel. Speaking exclusively with IndiaToday.in, the actor said he is proud and isn't nervous about the film.

Vikrant said, "I am very excited for a change, after a very long time I am coming out with a film which isn't making me nervous, which I generally tend to be. It's because I am really proud of what we have done. I have seen the film. I am really proud of what we have achieved. I am excited that this film is going to release on February 25 on Zee5 and I hope the audiences enjoy this film. We have made it with so much love and a lot of compassion.”

Love Hostel also marks Vikrant’s first collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan and his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. When asked about the kind of producer SRK is, Vikrant said, "SRK is always involved with everything that he lends his name or creditability to. He is always involved in some way or other. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to meet him, but he was aware of everything that was happening during the shoot, on sets, all the edits He knew everything and that is why he is the Shah Rukh Khan.”

He continued, “I will share an incredible anecdote. We had our first script narration with him and after that it took a couple of months to take everything forward. Then, when he was sitting in the meeting after two months, we were surprised to know that he remembered every character’s name, the entire screenplay, incidents in the film and he didn't even have the script in front of him. So the sharpness he brings and is blessed with has been reflected in the work we have done. It's been an incredible experience to just sort of know he is there and backing us. Hopefully, I get to meet him someday. Kabhi toh mulakat hogi."

Elaborating more about Love Hostel, Vikrant stated, "Love Hostel is a love story right at the outside, but is not just a love story, it is much more than that. It is about two people who are madly in love with each other and want to be together. They are consenting adults who want to be together, but strangely, there are certain elements and people in their lives who are not really happy with the choices they have made. So, they are on the run. It's a very gritty, fast-paced, edgy action-thriller. So, I don’t want to limit the film to a love story or action-thriller, because there is a lot more than that. Now we are living in times of not defining any forms of conventions. I want to participate in that and not sort of restrict this film to a particular genre. It's everything that it should be. You will see a lot of action, drama, love, honesty and purity in the film. And I hope the audiences can see these things. I hope they enjoy it and I am really looking forward to what the audience has to say."

Love Hostel will premiere on Zee5 on February 25.
