Loan waiver, compensation for crop failure: Kejriwal's poll sops for Gujarat farmers

In Gujarat's Dwarika, Arvind Kejriwal tabled several guarantees and poll promises for farmers.

Addressing a crowd of hundreds in poll-bound Gujarat, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal's prime focus was farmers on Friday. Announcing a series of poll vows and guarantees to farmers in Dwarika, the Delhi Chief Minister said that he wanted to 'change the country' as against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which made the public a fool 'in each election'.

Kejriwal demanded the public's faith in his party for the coming five years and asked them to 'throw out' his regime if they were not satisfied with the AAP-led government in Gujarat.

"When you buy a scooter or something, you are given a guarantee of two years. I would ask people for a five-year opportunity and give them a guarantee. If not, then throw it out," the AAP supremo said.

Affirming that speeches won't do wonders in elections or post-polls, he said, "I don't know how to do politics. I want to make India the no 1 country in the world. This will not happen by speech! We have to fix schools, build hospitals, provide employment, build good roads, and make farmers prosperous."

"Will give guarantees to farmers today," he said while listing out six promises to farmers in Gujarat.
