A chance sighting exposed a disturbing plot involving forged identities, minors and alleged grooming in Gujarat. Police action followed swiftly, but one accused remains at large as deeper details emerge.
A suspected plan to lure minor girls to a hotel using forged Aadhaar cards was foiled in Gujarat after an acquaintance spotted suspicious activity, leading to swift police intervention in Ahmedabad.
The case has drawn attention after police confirmed that three youths from the Vasna area were arrested for allegedly trapping three minor girls and attempting to take them to a hotel using fake identities.
According to police, the accused had invited the girls to a hotel after creating forged Aadhaar cards that falsely showed them as adults.
The situation came to light when a known person noticed the group and alerted authorities, preventing the alleged plan from being carried out.
Officials said the accused were intercepted before they could reach the hotel.
Police have identified the arrested accused as Aamir Ali Shaikh, Mohammad Siraj Salmani and Altab Ali Ansari. A fourth accused, Arvind Chauhan, is yet to be taken into custody.
