Former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Hari Shankar Brahma said that linking Aadhaar cards with voter cards will help detect and remove a huge number of duplicate and bogus voters in the electoral rolls and will help purify the election database.

Hari Shankar Brahma spoke to Aajtak/India Today over a phone call and welcomed the decision taken by the Centre to introduce the Election Laws (Amendment) Bill 2021 which was passed in the Parliament.
